W.I.C. is a federally-funded health and nutrition program for women, infants, and children. W.I.C. helps families by providing checks for buying healthy supplemental foods from W.I.C.-authorized vendors and nutrition services. As an example, in California, 82 W.I.C. agencies provide services locally to over 1.4 million women, infants and children each month at over 600 sites throughout the State.
The B.R.A.T. feel better drinks have been approved as the only ready to feed supplemental product for individuals with gastrointestinal disorders, malabsorption syndromes, immune system disorders and severe food allergies that require alternatives to milk and soy. If you are a WIC participant and suffer from one of the above conditions you may be eligible to receive B.R.A.T. through the W.I.C. program. Each state varies on what it allows but most states allow exceptions for most products on the USDA WICWORKS database.
If interested, print out a copy of the description of B.R.A.T. from the USDA WICWORKS homepage located here B.R.A.T. WIC Page and bring to your local WIC office and to your doctor.
